Product description

The self-adhesive white seal D-profile in a 2-strip version made of microporous EPDM rubber seals windows and doors against draughts, moisture and noise. It is sold by the running metre or in complete 50 m packs.

The seal is made of microporous EPDM rubber, which is airtight, almost non-absorbent and distinguished by high resistance to weather influences. The D-profile with a height of 7.5 mm and a width of 9.0 mm is intended for filling a gap with a width of 3.0 to 7.0 mm, so it reliably seals even larger gaps between the frame and the leaf.

The self-adhesive layer on the underside allows quick and very easy installation without tools – you simply stick the seal onto the cleaned surface and it reliably stays in its intended place. It is suitable for metal, plastic and wooden frames and door frames. We supply it cut-to-length in a 2-strip version, which means that one running metre (rm) equals two metres of seal.

When choosing a seal, go by the size of the gap that needs to be filled. The seal must be adequately high, with a suitable profile and of sufficient length so that it seals perfectly and at the same time does not obstruct the closing of the window or door.

Main advantages

  • EPDM material – microporous rubber with high resistance to weather influences, suitable also for the outdoor environment.
  • Self-adhesive layer – quick and very easy installation without tools, the seal reliably stays in place.
  • D-profile for larger gaps – suitable for a gap width of 3.0 to 7.0 mm, where the smaller E and P profiles are not enough.
  • Airtightness and non-absorbency – prevents draughts and the penetration of moisture, cold, dust and noise into the interior.
  • Universal use – suitable for metal, plastic and wooden frames and door frames.
  • Flexible sale – available by the metre and in complete 50 m packs, minimum order 0.5 rm.

Use

  • Sealing windows against draughts, cold and moisture.
  • Sealing entrance and interior doors.
  • Sealing larger gaps in the range of 3.0 to 7.0 mm.
  • Application on metal, plastic and wooden frames and door frames.
  • Reducing the penetration of dust and noise into interior spaces.

Frequently asked questions

For what gap width is the D-profile suitable?

The D-profile is intended for a gap width of 3.0 to 7.0 mm. For smaller gaps the E (2.0 to 3.5 mm) or P (3.0 to 5.0 mm) profiles are more suitable.

How many metres of seal do I get when ordering one running metre?

The seal is in a 2-strip version, therefore one running metre (rm) corresponds to two metres of seal. The minimum order is 0.5 rm.

Are glue or tools needed for installation?

No. The seal has a self-adhesive layer on the underside, so you only need to stick it onto a cleaned surface. Installation is quick and requires no tools.
