Product description
The EPDM gasket sheet in a width of 1200 mm without a textile insert is a high-quality rubber sheet for outdoor sealing, which we supply cut-to-length (cut from the roll) charged per square metre (m²).
The sheet is made on a base of EPDM synthetic rubber, which is characterised by excellent resistance to weather influences, ozone and ultraviolet radiation. Thanks to this it retains its properties even during long-term outdoor use, where ordinary rubber quickly ages and cracks.
The material has a hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA, a tensile strength of 5 MPa, an elongation of 200 % and a density of 1.5 g/cm³. The working temperature ranges from -40 °C to +100 °C, so the sheet reliably serves in frost as well as at elevated temperatures. It is partially resistant to acids and alkalis, but it is not resistant to oil or petrol.
We supply the sheet in a standard width of 1200 mm, in thicknesses from 1 mm to 30 mm. It is charged per m², where 1 linear metre of cut from the roll corresponds to 1.2 m². The minimum order is 0.5 lin. m (0.6 m²), the maximum roll length is 10 m (at a thickness of 30 mm a maximum of 5 m).
Main advantages
- High resistance to weather influences – EPDM withstands rain, frost and sun without loss of flexibility.
- Resistance to ozone and UV radiation – the sheet does not age or crack under permanent outdoor use.
- Wide temperature range – reliably seals from -40 °C to +100 °C.
- Wide choice of thicknesses – from 1 mm to 30 mm for various sealing applications.
- Precise made-to-measure cut – cutting from a roll 1200 mm wide in steps of 0.1 lin. m, you pay only for the m² actually taken.
- Without textile insert – a homogeneous rubber material suitable for shaping and sealing.
Use
- Sealing of outdoor joints and structures exposed to weather.
- Manufacture of gaskets resistant to ozone and UV radiation.
- Sealing washers and strips for engineering and construction.
- Sealing of flanges, covers and openings outdoors.
- Damping and separating layers during assembly.
Frequently asked questions
How is the price of the gasket sheet calculated?
The price refers to the unit of measure m² in the chosen thickness. We supply the sheet cut-to-length cut from a roll 1200 mm wide, where 1 linear metre corresponds to 1.2 m². The minimum order is 0.5 lin. m, i.e. 0.6 m².
Is the sheet suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. EPDM is highly resistant to weather influences, ozone and UV radiation, so the sheet is intended primarily for outdoor applications, where it retains its properties over the long term.
Does the sheet resist oil and petrol?
No. EPDM is not resistant to oil or petrol. The sheet is partially resistant to acids and alkalis. For contact with petroleum substances we recommend a different material.
