The surface of the mat has an anti-slip effect on the top and the bottom side and raised openings with drainage channels that carry liquids away and let solid dirt fall below the walking level. The mat is made of a rubber compound, it resists frost as well as higher temperatures and is intended for less heavily loaded entrance areas.

In the by-the-metre version the mat has a bevelled edge only on the side edges; on a full 10-metre roll the bevelled edge is also at the beginning and at the end. When cutting to size, both the beginning and the end of the cut section are without a bevelled edge. The standard thickness of the mat is 13 mm and the weight is approximately 6 kg per linear metre (at a size of 91 × 100 cm), i.e. approximately 6,6 kg per m².
