Product description
Sealing rubber strip EPDM with textile insert in a thickness of 15 mm and width of 100 mm. We sell it as cut-to-length (minimum order 1 metre), so you order exactly as much as you need to seal structural and building parts.
The strip is made of compact EPDM rubber based on ethylene-propylene-diene rubber with inorganic and organic additives. The textile insert significantly increases the strength and dimensional stability of the material, so the strip withstands mechanical stress well even during long-term use.
Sealing EPDM rubber is, by its mechanical, physical and chemical properties, directly intended for sealing. It does not let air through and has practically zero absorbency, thanks to which it reliably seals joints and gaps in various branches of industry as well as in construction.
The strip resists weather influences in the temperature range -40 to +100 °C without a change in its properties and can briefly withstand temperatures up to +130 °C. The surface is smooth, the colour black and the standard hardness of the material is 70 °ShA.
Main advantages
Textile insert - increases the strength and dimensional stability of the strip, reduces the risk of tearing during installation.
Weather resistance - EPDM withstands ozone, UV radiation and the outdoor environment over the long term without cracking.
Wide temperature range - usability from -40 to +100 °C, briefly up to +130 °C.
Impermeability and zero absorbency - reliably seals against draught, dust and moisture.
Sold by the metre - you buy exactly the needed length from 1 metre, without unnecessary waste.
Smooth black surface - a clean aesthetic appearance and easy cleaning of the sealed joint.
Use
Sealing of structural and building parts.
Seals for light fittings and expansion gaps.
Sealing when covering with polycarbonate.
Seals in air conditioning.
Use in the engineering and construction industry.
Applications in the food and automotive industry.
Frequently asked questions
How is the strip sold?
We supply the strip as cut-to-length with a minimum order of 1 metre, while the maximum length of one piece is 10 metres. You order exactly as many metres as you need.
What temperatures does EPDM strip withstand?
The material resists temperatures in the range -40 to +100 °C without a change in properties. It can briefly withstand temperatures up to +130 °C, but you must reckon with premature ageing.
Can the strip also be made in another shape or dimension?
Yes. EPDM sealing profiles are available to order in various other shapes and sizes according to the catalogue, and by agreement it is also possible to manufacture a shape according to the customer's specific needs.
Details of the dimensional tolerances for rubber products can be found in the shop footer.
