Product description
Alkaprén 25 Plus is a toluene-free contact adhesive on a rubber base intended for the reliable bonding of materials with a non-absorbent surface. It is sold by the piece in four packagings from 50 ml up to 3.6 kg.
This contact adhesive is developed for non-absorbent materials. It reliably bonds rubber to rubber and rubber to metal, and is also suitable for bonding metals and glass. Thanks to its toluene-free composition it represents a gentler alternative to classic contact adhesives.
Alkaprén 25 Plus is applied to each bonded surface only once, in a thin layer, which simplifies and speeds up the work. It can be applied with a trowel, brush or spray gun. After drying, the surfaces are pressed together and a firm contact bond is created. The adhesive has a light beige colour and the approximate consumption is 250 to 350 g/m².
For the best result it is recommended to work at a temperature of around +20 °C and to load or press the glued joint. The joint can be mechanically loaded approximately 24 hours after bonding.
Main advantages
- Toluene-free composition - a gentler alternative to classic toluene-based contact adhesives.
- Bonding of non-absorbent materials - intended for non-absorbent surfaces such as rubber, metal or glass.
- One-sided coating - applied to each surface only once, which saves time and consumption.
- Firm contact bond - after pressing, a bond is created that can be mechanically loaded as soon as 24 hours after bonding.
- Four packaging sizes - from 50 ml to 3.6 kg for small repairs as well as larger projects.
- Universal use - suitable for workshop, industrial and home applications.
Use
- Bonding rubber to rubber in repairs and the production of rubber parts.
- Joining rubber with metal in workshop and industrial applications.
- Bonding metal and glass surfaces of a non-absorbent character.
- Repairs and assemblies where a firm contact bond on a smooth surface is needed.
- Work in which it is advisable to first degrease and roughen the bonded surfaces.
