Product description
SBR rubber sealing sheet in a width of 1200 mm without a textile insert, with an increased tensile strength of 5 MPa. It is sold by the metre – as a cut from a roll in the required length, the price being per m² in the chosen thickness.
This sealing sheet is made on an SBR rubber base and represents the most affordable alternative for common sealing and backing applications without special demands on resistance to weather, ozone, UV radiation or oils. Thanks to a tensile strength of 5 MPa and an elongation of 200 % it withstands mechanical stress well and retains its dimensional stability.
The material has a hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA, a density of 1,5 g/cm³ and works reliably in the temperature range from -25 °C to +80 °C. It is supplied in black and in thicknesses from 1 mm to 10 mm. It is mildly resistant to acids and alkalis, but it is not intended for contact with oils and petrol.
The standard roll width is 1200 mm and the maximum roll length is 10 m. A cut from this width is ordered, where 1 running metre corresponds to 1,2 m². The minimum order is 0,5 bm, i.e. 0,6 m².
Main advantages
Tensile strength of 5 MPa - increased mechanical resistance compared with standard sheets.
Most affordable price - an economical solution for ordinary sealing without demands on special resistance.
Wide choice of thicknesses - from 1 mm to 10 mm to match the specific application.
Sold by the metre - a cut from a roll 1200 mm wide exactly as you need, minimum 0,5 bm.
Wide temperature range - usable from -25 °C to +80 °C.
Elasticity and dimensional stability - elongation of 200 % and hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA.
Use
Sealing joints and flanges in pipework and engineering assemblies.
Backing and spacing layers during installation.
Damping vibrations and protecting surfaces against denting.
Ordinary sealing applications without contact with oils and without exposure to the weather.
Indoor environments and protected applications within the working temperature range.
Frequently asked questions
What resistance does the SBR sheet have?
It is mildly resistant to acids and alkalis. It is not intended for contact with oils or petrol and it is not resistant to weather, ozone or UV radiation – it is a general-purpose material.
How is the sheet ordered and what is the minimum length?
It is sold by the metre as a cut from a roll 1200 mm wide. The minimum order is 0,5 bm (0,6 m²), where 1 running metre corresponds to 1,2 m². The price in the table applies per m² in the chosen thickness.
In what temperature range can the sheet be used?
SBR material is suitable for use in the range from -25 °C to +80 °C.
