Product description

The NBR rubber sealing sheet, 1200 mm wide and with one textile insert, is an oil-resistant sealing material sold by the metre (cut from a roll) and priced by the square metre. It is made from NBR synthetic rubber, which resists mineral oils.

This is a standard nitrile quality intended for environments where contact with mineral oils occurs. The sheet has one textile insert, which gives it dimensional stability, and it is available in thicknesses from 1 mm to 30 mm. The standard roll width is 1200 mm, with one running metre representing 1,2 m² of area.

The material has a hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA, a tensile strength of 3 MPa and an elongation of 150 %. The working temperature ranges from -20 °C to +80 °C, briefly up to +90 °C. The density of the material is 1,5 g/cm³ and the sheet is black.

We supply the sealing sheet either as complete rolls 10 bm long, or by the metre – so you can order only a cut from the given roll width of 1200 mm. The maximum roll length is 10 m, at a thickness of 30 mm a maximum of 5 m. The minimum order is 0,5 bm, i.e. 0,6 m².

Main advantages

  • Oil resistance – the NBR material resists mineral oils (not aromatic ones), which makes the sheet ideal for oily environments.

  • Textile insert – one insert increases the dimensional stability and strength of the sheet during installation.

  • Sold to size – you buy exactly the length you need from a roll 1200 mm wide, with no needless waste.

  • Wide choice of thicknesses – available thicknesses from 1 mm to 30 mm for various sealing applications.

  • Defined strength – tensile strength of 3 MPa and elongation of 150 % for reliable sealing.

  • Wholesale discount – business customers receive a 5 % discount when buying whole rolls.

Use

  • Sealing joints and flanges in environments containing mineral oils.

  • Producing flat gaskets by cutting them to the required shape.

  • Oil-resistant pads and sealing strips in mechanical engineering.

  • Sealing elements wherever contact with mineral oils is required.

  • General sealing applications in the temperature range of -20 °C to +80 °C.

Frequently asked questions

Is this sheet resistant to oils?

Yes. NBR material is resistant to mineral oils (not aromatic ones). It is not resistant to alkalis, acids and petrol.

How is the sheet sold and what is the minimum order?

It is sold by the metre as a cut from a roll 1200 mm wide, where 1 running metre = 1,2 m². The minimum order is 0,5 bm, i.e. 0,6 m². A whole roll 10 bm long can also be supplied.

What is the working temperature and the hardness of the material?

The working temperature is -20 °C to +80 °C, briefly +90 °C. The hardness of the material is 65 ± 5 °ShA.

Details of the dimensional tolerances for rubber products can be found in the shop footer.
