Product description

Silicone sealing sheet 1200 mm wide for food-industry use – compact silicone rubber suitable for direct contact with food, which we sell by the metre (a cut from the roll) charged per m².

This silicone rubber is suitable for direct contact with food, it does not affect taste or smell, it is non-absorbent and impermeable. It is characterised by high flexibility even at low temperatures while retaining excellent elasticity, and at the same time by high resistance to high temperatures and chemicals.

The material is compact silicone rubber of white colour with a hardness of 60 ± 5 °ShA, a tensile strength of 7 MPa, an elongation of 280 % and a density of 1,20 g/cm³. The working temperature ranges from -60 °C to +230 °C, and for short periods the material withstands up to 250 °C. It is exceptionally resistant to UV radiation, ozone, weathering and ageing. Please note – the material is not resistant to petrol.

We supply the sheet in the standard width of 1200 mm as full rolls 10 linear metres long or by the metre, i.e. only a cut from that roll width can be ordered. One linear metre corresponds to 1,2 m². The minimum order is 0,5 linear metres, which represents 0,6 m². The prices in the table refer to the unit of measure m² in the stated thickness.

Main advantages

  • Suitable for direct contact with food – it does not affect taste or smell, it is non-absorbent and impermeable.

  • Wide temperature range – it works from -60 °C to +230 °C and withstands up to 250 °C for short periods.

  • High flexibility even in frost – it retains excellent elasticity even at low temperatures.

  • Exceptional weather resistance – highly resistant to UV radiation, ozone and ageing.

  • Chemical resistance – it withstands the action of high temperatures as well as chemicals.

  • Flexible quantities – buy a full roll of 10 linear metres or an exact cut from just 0,5 linear metres.

Applications

  • Food industry and applications with direct contact with food.

  • Automotive industry.

  • Construction.

  • Electrical engineering industry.

  • Seals exposed to high or low temperatures.

Frequently asked questions

Is the sheet suitable for direct contact with food?
