Product description
NBR rubber sealing sheet with two textile inserts in a roll width of 1200 mm is an oil-resistant sealing material sold by the square metre (m²) as cut from a roll in the chosen thickness.
The sealing sheet is made based on synthetic nitrile rubber NBR in standard nitrile quality and is reinforced with two textile inserts, which give it dimensional stability and higher resistance to tearing when tightening joints. It is intended mainly for environments where contact with mineral oils occurs.
The material has a hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA, tensile strength of 3 MPa and elongation of 150 %. The working temperature is -20 °C to +80 °C, short-term +90 °C. The density of the sheet is 1,5 g/cm³, colour black. The material is resistant to oils (not aromatic ones); however, it is not intended for contact with acids, alkalis or petrol.
The sheet is supplied in a standard width of 1200 mm in thicknesses from 1 mm to 30 mm. The prices in the table refer to the unit of measure 1 m² in the stated thickness. We supply whole rolls 10 lin. m long or as cut length – you can therefore order a cut from the given roll width of 1200 mm, i.e. 1 linear metre = 1,2 m². The minimum order is 0,5 lin. m, i.e. 0,6 m².
Main benefits
- Oil-resistant NBR material – withstands contact with mineral oils and is suitable for engineering and oil environments.
- Two textile inserts – the reinforcement increases the strength and dimensional stability of the sheet when tightening flange joints.
- Wide range of thicknesses 1 – 30 mm – allows you to choose exactly the seal thickness the application requires.
- Large roll width 1200 mm – from a single cut you get even larger seals without unnecessary joints.
- Sold by the metre – you pay only for the area actually taken from 0,6 m², without the need to buy a whole roll.
- Stock availability – the goods are in stock with delivery usually within 2 – 3 days.
Use
- Sealing flange joints of pipes and fittings in an oil environment.
- Making flat seals and die-cut shaped seals.
- Sealing lids, manholes and covers of machinery.
- Washers and damping layers in engineering and maintenance.
- Seals in equipment where contact with mineral oils (not aromatic) occurs.
Frequently asked questions
Is this sealing sheet resistant to oils?
Yes, the NBR material is resistant to mineral oils (not aromatic ones). However, it is not intended for contact with acids, alkalis or petrol.
How is the sheet sold and what is the minimum order?
The sheet is sold per m² as a cut from the roll width of 1200 mm, where 1 linear metre = 1,2 m². The minimum order is 0,5 lin. m, i.e. 0,6 m².
What working temperature and hardness does the sheet have?
The working temperature is -20 °C to +80 °C, short-term +90 °C. The hardness of the material is 65 ± 5 °ShA, tensile strength 3 MPa and elongation 150 %.
Details of the dimensional tolerances for rubber products can be found in the shop footer.
