Product description
EPDM rubber sealing sheet 1200 mm wide with two textile inserts — durable, weather-stable rubber sold by the square metre (cut from a roll) in thicknesses from 3 to 20 mm.
The sheet is made of EPDM based on synthetic rubber and reinforced with two textile inserts, which increase strength and dimensional stability at higher thicknesses. Thanks to its EPDM composition it is highly resistant to ozone, UV radiation and weather, so it is suitable for permanent outdoor use.
The material achieves a hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA, tensile strength of 5 MPa, elongation of 200 % and density of 1,5 g/cm³. The working temperature is in the range -40 °C to +100 °C. It is partially resistant to alkalis and acids; it is not resistant to oil and petrol.
The sheet is sold by the unit of measure m². It is supplied either as a whole roll 10 lin. m long, or as cut length — cut from a roll 1200 mm wide, where 1 linear metre = 1,2 m². The minimum order is 0,5 lin. m, i.e. 0,6 m². The standard colour is black.
Main benefits
- Two textile inserts – higher strength and dimensional stability than a sheet without an insert.
- High resistance to ozone, UV and weather – thanks to EPDM it remains functional even in permanent outdoor use.
- Wide temperature range -40 °C to +100 °C – withstands frost as well as high temperatures without loss of properties.
- Tensile strength 5 MPa and elongation 200 % – good mechanical properties for sealing applications.
- Cut to measure from a roll 1200 mm wide – you buy exactly as much as you need (from 0,5 lin. m).
- Choice of 9 thicknesses 3 – 20 mm – one material for light as well as robust seals.
Use
- Seals and washers exposed to weather and the outdoor environment.
- Damping and sealing layers in outdoor structures.
- Sealing of joints, flanges and seating surfaces stressed by temperature fluctuations.
- Applications requiring resistance to ozone and UV radiation.
- Reinforcement and gap filling where higher sheet strength is needed.
Frequently asked questions
How is the sheet sold and what is the minimum order?
It is sold per m². We supply a whole roll 10 lin. m long or cut length cut from the 1200 mm width, where 1 linear metre corresponds to 1,2 m². The minimum order is 0,5 lin. m, i.e. 0,6 m².
Is the sheet suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. EPDM is highly resistant to ozone, UV radiation and weather, therefore the sheet is also intended for permanent outdoor use.
What thicknesses are available?
The sheet is available in thicknesses of 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 20 mm. The weight increases with thickness — for example, 3 mm weighs 4,5 kg/m² and 20 mm weighs 30 kg/m².
Details of the dimensional tolerances for rubber products can be found in the shop footer.
