Product description
The CR/SBR gasket sheet in a width of 1500 mm with one textile insert is a universal rubber gasket sheet for general use. It is sold by the square metre as a cut from a roll, so you order exactly as much as you need.
The sheet is made on a CR/SBR rubber base in standard quality and is characterised by good mechanical properties. One textile insert increases the strength and shape stability of the material, thanks to which the sheet handles mechanical stress well when sealing flanges and surfaces.
The material is intended for use without special requirements for resistance to negative environmental influences. It is slightly resistant to weathering influences, ozone, UV radiation, acids as well as alkalis. It is not suitable for contact with oils or petrol.
The standard roll width is 1500 mm and the maximum roll length is 10 m. The sheet has a hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA, tensile strength of 5 MPa, elongation of 200 % and a working temperature from -20 °C to +80 °C. The material density is 1,5 g/cm³ and the colour is black. The sheet is available in thicknesses 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm.
Main advantages
- Universal CR/SBR seal - standard quality with good mechanical properties for ordinary sealing applications.
- Textile insert - increases the strength and shape stability of the sheet under stress.
- Sold by the square metre - you order an exact cut from a roll 1500 mm wide, so you do not pay for the remaining material.
- Slight resistance to the environment - it withstands weathering influences, ozone, UV radiation, acids as well as alkalis.
- Wide temperature range - usable from -20 °C to +80 °C.
- Four thicknesses to choose from - 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm for various sealing surfaces and pressures.
Use
- Sealing of flanges, lids and joints without special requirements for resistance.
- Making flat seals and washers from cut-to-length goods.
- Sealing of surfaces exposed to ordinary weathering influences.
- Universal industrial and maintenance sealing applications.
- Damping and sealing layers between metal parts.
Frequently asked questions
How is the sheet sold and what is the minimum order?
The sheet is sold by the square metre as a cut from a roll 1500 mm wide, where 1 running metre corresponds to 1,5 m². The minimum order is 0,5 running metres, i.e. 0,75 m². We also supply whole rolls in a length of 10 running metres.
Is the CR/SBR sheet resistant to oils and petrol?
No. The CR/SBR material is not resistant to oils or petrol. It is suitable for general use and is slightly resistant to weathering influences, ozone, UV radiation, acids and alkalis.
In what thicknesses is the sheet available?
The gasket sheet is available in thicknesses 3 mm (4,5 kg/m²), 4 mm (6,0 kg/m²), 5 mm (7,5 kg/m²) and 6 mm (9,0 kg/m²). You choose the thickness according to the sealing surface and the required pressure.
