NBR/SBR gasket sheet in pieces, tensile strength 3 MPa
Code: 1053
excl. VAT: 74,00 € / m²
Product description
The NBR gasket sheet in pieces is an oil-resistant rubber sheet based on nitrile rubber (NBR), which we supply in whole pieces with the unit of measure m². It is used for making flat seals in environments with contact with mineral oils.
The sheet is made on the basis of synthetic NBR rubber in a piece version without a textile insert. It is standard nitrile quality in black, intended for operations where contact with mineral oils occurs.
The material reaches a hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA, tensile strength of 3 MPa, elongation of 150 % and density of 1,5 g/cm³. The working temperature is -20 °C to +80 °C, briefly up to +90 °C.
We supply exclusively whole pieces in the standard sizes 1000 × 1000 mm and 1000 × 2000 mm, in thicknesses of 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50 mm according to the variant table. The prices in the table refer to the unit of measure m² of the gasket sheet in the given thickness.
Main advantages
- Oil resistance – the NBR material resists mineral oils (not aromatic ones), which makes it suitable for engineering and oil operations.
- Wide range of thicknesses – available in thicknesses from 15 mm to 50 mm for various sealing applications.
- Two standard formats – choose from sizes 1000 × 1000 mm and 1000 × 2000 mm for smaller as well as larger seals.
- Without a textile insert – the homogeneous rubber material is easy to divide and shape into the required seal form.
- Temperature resistance – working range -20 °C to +80 °C, briefly up to +90 °C.
- Stock availability – the goods are in stock with delivery within 2 – 3 days.
Use
- Making flat seals for flanges and joints in mechanical engineering.
- Sealing in environments with contact with mineral oils.
- Thicker sealing elements and washers thanks to thicknesses up to 50 mm.
- Cutting seals to size from whole pieces.
- Maintenance and assembly work in oil operations.
Frequently asked questions
What material is the gasket sheet made of?
The sheet is made on the basis of synthetic nitrile rubber NBR in a piece version without a textile insert. It is black and has a hardness of 65 ± 5 °ShA.
Is the sheet resistant to oils?
Yes, the NBR material is resistant to mineral oils (not aromatic ones). However, it is not resistant to alkalis, acids or petrol.
In what sizes and thicknesses do you supply the sheet?
We supply only whole pieces in sizes 1000 × 1000 mm and 1000 × 2000 mm, in thicknesses of 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 50 mm. The prices in the table refer to the unit of measure m² in the given thickness.
