Product description

Microporous EPDM rubber 10 mm thick is a foamed, expanded sealing sheet with high resistance to weathering and UV radiation. It is sold as cut goods in the unit of m² from a roll width of 1 m, so you order exactly as much as you need.

The sheet is made of foamed EPDM-based rubber. Thanks to its microporous (expanded) structure it is elastic, soft and easily adapts to different surfaces and irregular shapes, so it reliably seals joints and flanges.

The material is highly resistant to weathering and UV radiation, which is why it is suitable for outdoor environments as well. It is partially resistant to alkalis and acids; it is not intended for oil or petrol environments. The standard thickness is 10 mm, the width is 1000 mm (1 m) and the colour is black, the density of the material is approximately 115 kg/m³.

We supply it as cut goods from a roll width of 1 m. The minimum order is 0,5 linear metres, i.e. 0,5 m².

Key benefits

  • High resistance to weather and UV – the EPDM-based material does not lose its properties outdoors or under prolonged sunlight.

  • Soft and elastic structure – the expanded rubber compresses easily and adapts to the surface, so it seats perfectly even on uneven areas.

  • Thickness of 10 mm – the greater thickness fills wider gaps well and effectively damps vibration and noise.

  • Partial chemical resistance – it withstands partial exposure to alkalis and acids, which widens the range of use in technical operations.

  • Universal sealing material – one product covers the making of soft seals, the sealing of joints and damping.

Applications

  • Making soft seals to size

  • Sealing flanges and joints

  • Damping vibration and noise in mechanical engineering

  • Seals in ventilation and air-conditioning systems

  • Sealing outdoors, exposed to weather and UV

Frequently asked questions

What thickness, width and length does the sheet have?

The standard thickness is 10 mm, the roll width is 1 m (1.000 mm) and the roll length is 2 m (2.000 mm). The goods are supplied as cut goods and sold by the square metre.

Is this material resistant to oils?

No. Microporous EPDM rubber is not resistant to oils or petrol. It is, however, highly resistant to weathering and UV radiation and partially resistant to alkalis and acids.

What is the order quantity?

The minimum order is 0,5 m². Further quantities can be ordered in steps of 0,5 m² from the total roll length of 2m.

Details of the dimensional tolerances for rubber products can be found in the shop footer.
